Just days after the news broke that long-time and founding member of Natus Vincere’s Counter-Strike division Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev was being traded, the player has revealed new details.

In an interview with cybersport.ru, Edward claimed that he had been aware that this was most likely to happen for around a year.

“To be entirely honest, I had been anticipating this moment for some time now, maybe for around a year,” the Ukrainian player said.

While he seemed to know this was inevitable, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t an emotional and tough experience.

“As such, what happened was not a surprise, but I was still nervous. For a long period of time, this was an internal dread, but at the same time I was happy that it finally happened – things had moved on, I left a state of stagnation. Emotions were obviously present during the conversation; there could be no other way. I had grown used to NaVi, so it was difficult for me to leave,” he went on to explain.

It was clear Na’Vi needed to make a change, however, many were still unsure how to feel about the Counter-Strike veteran leaving Na’Vi after a around nearly a decade outside of a brief time with Astana Dragons in the early days of CS:GO.

Edward isn’t gone from the scene, however, as he has been given on loan to Winstrike as part of their arrangement to get Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov who joins Natus Vincere in the hopes of correcting their course.
